(c. 980–1046) Venetian monk halted in Hungary on pilgrimage to the Holy Land; King Stephen kept him, made him tutor to his son and first bishop of Csanád. In the pagan revolt after Stephen's death he was hurled from the Buda hill that now bears his name.
