The Church remembers the faithful departed who are still being purified for the vision of God. Begun by St Odilo of Cluny in 998; spread throughout the Church.

When is the feast of All Souls?

The feast is celebrated on November 2 each year, kept as a solemnity in the General Roman Calendar, with violet vestments.
