St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

The nine days

Day 1

St. Michael, prince of the heavenly host, guard me this day against every evil.

Day 2

St. Michael, defender in battle, give me courage to resist temptation.

Day 3

St. Michael, herald of God's glory, keep my heart fixed on heaven.

Day 4

St. Michael, protector of the Church, defend the Holy Father and all the faithful.

Day 5

St. Michael, guardian of souls, watch over my family and those I love.

Day 6

St. Michael, conqueror of pride, free me from arrogance and self-will.

Day 7

St. Michael, patron of the dying, be present to all who depart this life today.

Day 8

St. Michael, minister of God's justice, strengthen me to do what is right.

Day 9

St. Michael, faithful intercessor, carry my petition before the throne of God.

Closing prayer (every day)

Glorious St. Michael, guardian and defender of the Church of Jesus Christ, come to the help of God's people. Protect us against the powers of darkness, and bring our petition before the Most High. Amen.
